Breezy Meadows 4-H Club was formed in 2012 by Kimberly Creamer with Chrissy
Sterling as co-leader. We have 5 members, ages 10-12. Kimberly’s
three horses are utilized for riding lessons and the club just adopted a
20 yr old gelding, MOOSE, from a horse rescue. Members are given the
opportunity to perform daily horse related chores as credit towards Moose’s
expenses (hay, grain, bedding, supplements, vet bills and farrier). Moose
is actually owned by the club. This is a unique opportunity for members
to have unlimited riding privileges without incurring the cost to obtain and
board a horse.
Kimberly has been an active 4-H leader for
horses/ponies for over 30 years and thoroughly enjoys teaching children how to
ride and care for horses. The club plans on participating in two county horse
shows, The NW MI Fair, a possible parade (or two) and trail riding at
Kimberly’s farm near Cedar.
