Howdy
there! I’m Stella Sterling from Traverse
City Michigan! I am,
of course, horse-crazy! I also like to do other things, like downhill skiing,
swimming, and hanging with my friends and family! I have one cat named Sterling, a dog named Poppy,
and my baby, a dog named Tinkerbell! My school work is also very important to
me, for I know how important it is to have a good education if I’m looking for
a job with animals. One of my favorite classes in school is my German class, I
love Germany
and their language! I also like my photography class. I am an avid reader and
love nature! One of my favorite places to go is the shoreline of Lake Michigan and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. I also love
the U.P eh! Sometimes in the Winter I visit my Aunt Stephanie in Vail, Colorado or go to Montana with my dad Ian,
my step mom Michelle, and my very annoying younger half-sister Bronwyn. I love
helping my best friend care for her animals and feeding orphaned babies on her
farm! Back to the horse world, I’ve read every horse book I can find and a idol
of mine is Monty Roberts! He has completely changed my view of the horse and I
recommend his book to anyone, horse-lover or not! I also love Joe Camp’s book,
The Soul of a Horse, which reveals the sad truth of the horse world today and
why and how we think when it comes to horses. In 4-H I’m riding Stormy a
Mustang/Haflinger mix gelding. I’m hoping with 4-H I can further my knowledge
and become a better rider and be a better horsewoman!
